Ruchi`s Taqueria in Houston

Some people claim to not liking this restaurant, but I really like it :it is not an expensive place. It offers good food and a nice place to relax and enjoy your meal. I recently had the beef soup and loved it! The staff is very nice and friendly.

Good fish soup. Good server. Chips and salsa were good as well. Clean . Not too loud. Satisfied in general.

The food is great here minus anything with the shredded chicken which always seems to be filled with tendons and bones (the only thing on the menu my husband and I refuse to get). The issue and reason for my rating would be the servers. This is honestly the only place in the area where the waitresses take your order then completely forget about you. I’ve lived here for six years and have been a regular here (several times a week) just because of the breakfast tacos and one waitress who is literally the best. Every other waitress here can care less and takes tons of flagging down just to get through a meal. If it wasn’t for that one waitress with the glasses, we would be at the Westheimer location all the time instead. Two stars because the food and that one waitress deserve more credit than one 👍🏽.

No le ponen carne a los tacos ni a las tortas mucho menos las enchiladas.. No me gusto para nada.. El Tea sabia a pura agua. Ruchis is over rated.. Real Mexican food is not like this... This food is for people that never had mexican food.. Will not go back.

This place was clean and great customer service but their food made my stomach hurt.

Family and I were visiting from Arizona and wanted to try some good Mexican food. Ruchi's was GREAT! The food was delicious, our waitress (Ana) was super friendly and the rest of the staff was very welcoming! We didn't have to wait long for a clean table, and the wait for our food was shorter than our wait at Chili's. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Houston, TX.

Best cheese enchiladas just ask my son

Food was not tasty at all. Service sucks. I ordered Togo and the food must've been so hot it melted the plastic tray and had the plastic taste. No culinary experience at all here. Just going to start spending more money for better food and service but eat out less.

Stopped in for fish taco plate to go with no aluminum foil used to wrap tacos. Order well appreciated and the food was delicious. Staff friendly. The place buzzing with positive energy. Next time I'll dine in.

Taco trucks are more tasty, but this place does the job for late night Mexican food. I tried their ground beef enchiladas and I liked it!

Green salsa is on point!! I come here to literally drink it. Now I know it’s homemade as it can be different at times I guess depending on who makes it l, but soo yummy!!

Rating is based on 2am experience because that is the only time I have been there. Order: “Burrito de fajita sin lechuga.” Drizzle queso on top before you take a bite. You will believe this is the best burrito in the world. Tortilla is toasted on flat top too perfection before all the goodness is rolled up. You will sleep well after the bars.#houstonfooddude

The beer was about normal price for any restaurant with a bar. The fried chicken chimichangas were adequately proportioned and covered with yellow queso with rice and beans. They were good, but I wouldn't call them phenomenal or anything. The service was great. The lady who waited on us checked regularly and was attentive. The place was a little dated looking, but it was very clean. While there may have been no wow factor, I would definitely say that I would recommend Ruchi's as a decent Mexican restaurant to ear at and I would definitely eat there again and bring my family, but if it were date night and I was trying to wow someone... I would have to find something more upscale.

Came here on a Thursday night, it was self-seating, the service was pathetic, they only had 12 tables, but wait staff was running around completely disorganized, waited 25 minutes for someone to acknowledge our presence at a table, the woman who brought the chips and salsa was the only attentive one, she was great. It took 45 minutes to get a visit from a rude waiter, who made is feel forced to order now or forever hold your peace... Good luck, if you go here.

The food was okay and a reasonable price. The restaurant is quiet and peaceful. The server was friendly and attentive. I heard they had awesome drinks, but didn't get to try one!

I liked that it was open late as all taco places should be but not at all like tacos from mexico nor other places like The Valley or San Antonio. Sorry Houston, these are not good tacos.

Ruchi's is by far the Best Ever Mexican Restaurant! They are open 24hr! How cool is that?!Red and green salsa are sooo delicious! Love their queso flamiado with mushrooms, carne asada is very tasty and the chips are way better quality than others. The portions are very generous, can even finish. If you love Mexican cuisine and you are in Houston, Ruchi's is the best in town! Highly recommended!

Very casual, but good little taqueria. The food is always great here. Usually, I order the torta, but this time I went with the burrito, and it was really great.

I have been coming to this place for almost 8 years now, I always get the fajita quesadilla I started off getting the mini ones, now I always get the big one with the plate the,the plate comes with guac tomatoes and lettuce and it’s only like a dollar more I believe everything here is pretty authentic and depending on which route shoes you go to the margaritas are good I haven’t had a margarita here.

Food is great. My favorite here is the Caldo do Res, but tried something different this round. The Fish Taco plate was good, but the margaritas were great!The bathrooms were in terrible shape while I was there and I don't think I'll ever use them again - gross.

MUST STEP THEIR GAME UP. this 24 hr restaurant has great food all around the clock whatever you need breakfast lunch and dinner. The problem is not in the kitchen. It's with servers. Not attentive to customers. No sense of awareness. Should be eager to satisfy customers. 1. I had to wave down a waiter/waitress to order and ask for tab. 2. My cup reached empty and stayed there. Fix this and they'll earn a full 5 stars from me. I do recommend these chicken enchiladas with monterrey jack cheese . Beans were good, rice needs to be better.

Food was great the first time, but called for a breakfast burrito to go the next day, couldn’t understand what they were asking me because of the noise, they hung up, and they kept picking up and hanging up when I called back 3 times. Unprofessional and rude.

Ordered chicken nachos, only got MAYBE a handful of chips and a few pieces of chicken thrown on top. I ordered to go so I didn’t realize how terrible the food looked until I drove 20 minutes back home. It was late so I decided to just eat it anyway. After my very last bite I pulled a long black hair out of my mouth!!! Never going back again!

Went home sick throwing up my Order wasn’t correct , service was poor & slow for cold food. Nasty ... makes me sick to my stomach.

This place is not 24 hours. I went and the door was locked and they would not let me in. They said they were closed at 6 in the morning. So if you’re trying to find a place open any hours this is not it

Always a pleasant experience at this place. Like the food, music and service here. Generous portion and not at all expensive. And the best thing it's open 24/7 so this is the place I end up going for late night cravings.

The best tacos and Mexican food in Houston.In Dallas I've tasted the best tacos but now I am adding Houston to my list. This place was great.

Upon arriving on open business hours, non holiday related. My husband and I were rejected to dine. They are racist of white people, everytime we try to eat there we always get awful service and now we were rejected. The waitress told us that they were “closed” ?? Of a 24hour restaurant??? Makes no sense. Especially since there was several people eating at that time. Their food isn’t that great, the meat is probably not even meat idk what it is. It’s chewy and dry and taste like it’s not beef or chicken I think it might be cat. The food is so cheap and the quality of it is just worthless. It’s sad to say that the people that work there are racist and hate their job so much they ruin it for everyone else.
